The Department of Hospitality and Hotel Administration brought the true spirit of India to life with a sensational Food Court at the Techno Management & Food Fest 2K26 Our talented students of BHHA prepared an incredible spread of authentic Indian street food delicacies, each dish representing the rich, diverse culinary traditions of different regions across India. From tangy chaats to spicy pao bhajis, every bite was a celebration of flavors and heritage! Kudos to our brilliant students for their teamwork, dedication, and culinary expertise, which were highly praised by all our guests. You truly made this festival a feast for the senses! Huge shoutout to the students for their passion and hard work in creating this gastronomic masterpiece! Your efforts made this event unforgettable!

Industrial Tour 2025 to Mayfair Tea Resort, New Chumta by BHHA - 2nd Year Date: 13.09.25 Exploring the World of Hospitality First-hand Students of Bachelor in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (BHHA - 2nd Year), Siliguri Institute of Technology, embarked on an enriching Industrial Tour 2025 to Mayfair Tea Resort, New Chumta. The visit offered them real-time exposure to the core operations of the hospitality industry — bridging classroom learning with industry practices. The visit featured: Kitchen & Food Production Department Tour Front Office & Guest Service Exposure Housekeeping & Operational Ethics Restaurant, Tea Lounge & Bar Experience Insights into Industry Standards & Future Trends This hands-on experience not only deepened their understanding but also inspired them to be skill-driven, industry-ready, and career-focused. Training & Placements
College organizes Technical Training Programs by Industry Experts for every student to upgrade their technical skills. This training helps the students to do their Minor and Major Project respectively. Department arranges various Workshops/ Seminars on recent technologies to make them self-reliant. Soft skills development and Aptitude ability Test (Tips and Tricks) classes are conducted by T&P Cell semester wise. Moreover not only depending on jobs, students may start their own initiative. Department arranges various training program on recent technologies to make them self-reliant. SIT has a dedicated Entrepreneurship Cell that nourishes the entrepreneurship ability among students.
